Can you help these Filmmakers?

Independent film is one source for a non-corporate vision of the world and life to be shared with non-corporate Moonshinepeople.  The corporations may hate it, but usually regular folks like you and I like it.  Sometimes love it.
One new short film in need of a minute amount of financial assistance for the benefit of a huge amount of talent is Moonshine.
One group of filmmakers who are looking for micro assistance in the creation of their short film is Rebecca Quinn, I am the Director and Producer for Moonshine. And my name is Ionia Palmer. I am the Co-Director and Screenwriter of Moonshine.  Click on one of the photos to go to their site.
The film is a short story of a man in loss.  As their website explains,  "Moonshine is a thriller about a man dealing with the death of his wife. The background story is a traveling Scottish photographer, Colin, falls in love with an African American, New York Ballet dancer named Molly. When Molly gets a scholarship for a performance art schoolWith Tamera Tomakili, Tristan Haller and Rob Schultze in Los Angeles, Colin convinces her that they should drive from New York to California, that way she can enjoy sights of her country that she’s never seen before.
But when they arrive in Tennessee, things take a turn for the worse. Molly goes missing and is later claimed by the people of Hixsen Tennessee to have been killed in a car accident. But after doing much investigation, Colin finds that the evidence just doesn’t match up".

Christmas Morning Views of the The Fox River from the Oneida Street Bridge

fox morning top As I was unable to sleep a wink on Christmas eve and morning, I packed up my gear and engaged in the best therapy I know … a “Phosari”, or photo IMG_1767safari.  I always really get into low IMG_1729light and nighttime photography, which has always been sort of a specialty for me.

Hope you enjoy the slide show below.

Sights and Scenes of Appleton II

ss 2 top

Here is another group of recent shot from Downtown Appleton.  I haven’t even begun to explore the areas IMG_0697 closer to the river as well as some of the outer areas.  IMG_0710

I am hoping that the weather holds out long enough that I can get to the outer areas before the snow gets too thick.  I my older years, I am just not as tough as I used to think that I was.

Bargain City … More than Just a Name

Bargain City for top
Now I don’t usually promote private business, but when a business is exceptionally helpful, and downright nice to the point I end up shakingBargain City wow (22) my head in wonder, that’s when I just have to take action.
When shopping there is always the rigid pricing system, poor customer service, and most likely clerks and sales folks that don’t know a hoot about the products that they sell, and justBargain City wow (21) want to get back to the break room as fast as possible.  That is the reality of big box corporate retail today.  Get em in, get  their money, and get em out, as fast as possible.
It’s always inspirational (and in this case cost effective) when one finds a store by humans, of humans, and for humans.  The store Bargain City, located at 1930 West College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54914, it just such a store.  Although it won’t take a bus ride to get to one side from the other like a Wally Mart Super store, they carry everything from Dry Goods to HolidayBargain City wow (31) and gift items.  Featuring … Coats, Trinkets, Dolls, Foods, Tools, Green Bay Packer Items, Knives, Swords, Paint, Jewelry, reading and sun glasses, fans, gift ideas, greeting and gift cards, Christmas and holiday Items, statues, electronic games, Santa Clause thingies, Guitars (Ibanez S body), and the list could go on and on.   So if your in the market … for just about anything at a reasonable price in a nice friendly down home simple shopping environment, beBargain City wow (88) sure to check our Bargain City first, then to if you can’t find it there, then to to the big corporate store.
Good luck, and good bargain hunting!
Be sure to check out the slide show below to see what the store looks like!

EDITORIAL; My Opinion, When Politic Become Synonymous with Lie

When does the phrase “political Statement” become acceptable to use as an insert line, order to  replace the word “Lie”, in order to get acceptable verbiage from a statement on past promises or commitments.

In this very heated political time in this election of 2012. this may or may not become a question, but one that I would like to raise.

New Methods and Small Dogs.

As I adjust to mobile work again, I am once again breaking new ground, learning new methods and developing new work flow.   From a mobile, portable (USB based) video editing program, tDSCN9111o a more artistic approach to shooting.  Of course trying to do it without it being too obvious.   I am eager to put Newby for posting 2some of these new methods to use in future and upcoming projects that concern the environment and sustainable living.

Look to a report soon on the History of Pulaski, WI.  A recent visit to the Pulaski Historical Society’s Local Museum proved to be quite interesting.  I received a great tour and many details on some very interesting events in Pulaski’s past.  I hope to have something out on that within the next few weeks.  I am still working on a report on motorized bicycles as well.  Of course, both reports will feature photos and video, and be on Wisconsin Confidential.
