Transitions and Issues with Transitions

A note;  Remember to go down to the bottom of this posting and hit the play button on the full HD video.  Then hit pause.  That way the video should be done buffering by the time you finish reading the article.

I have been having an issue with some of my transitions where it appears that ghost frames show up in between frames.

It seems to occur regardless of a strait switch between clips, or if I add a transition such as a fade. One can actually see it occur in two spots (not just the samples) in the video.

Since I started shooting at 30fps (I was shooting at 24p fps) is seemed to help a lot. But is is still not perfect. As I mention in the video, I am shooting 30fps in AVCHD, editing in Premiere 7, and rendering out to H.264 at the recommended 29.97fps. Next, I will try rendering to 30fps, but I am not sure if it will work with YouTube or other video services as they always specify the 29.07fps setting.

You can download the full 720p H.264 (Quicktime) HD video (249MB) if you click here.

Below is the HD version from YouTube.
